  • The Brand

    Chas. E. Phipps is a B2B brand that sells industrial grade tools, supplies and hardware to commercial and residential contractors locally and nationwide.

  • What We Did

    Chas. E. Phipps was on the Magento platform. They needed an easy way to setup customer groups and offer wholesale pricing to their customers. As their Magento build was completely custom, the wholesale feature needed to be redeveloped on the newest version of Magento. Along side this, they were struggling with UX issues throughout the site where users were unable to add products to cart as well as view certain products on mobile devices.

    We partnered with Chas. E. Phipps and migrated them to the BigCommerce Enterprise platform. While doing so, we redesigned and developed a completely new shopping experience, created custom product calculators, custom developed several B2B type features and integrated their complex ERP with a custom built connector.

  • The Results

    By utilizing BigCommerce's native B2B features as well as developing additional custom applications, Chas. E. Phipps is saving 34% per month on total ownership cost compared to Magento. By using BigCommerce's page builder, they can easily manage their product catalog, add pages and change content within the admin, a feature they often struggled with while on their previous platform.

    Results: 89% Increase in New Customers, 34% Increase in Rental Conversions, 45% Increase in Customer Retention
